What is GLOSS?
G.L.O.S.S. is a 10-hour course that teaches a Biblical Approach to Style and Beauty for young girls. Our sense of style is the reflection of a heart surrendered to Jesus Christ with an understanding of what it means to be a “Daughter of the King!” Style is one of the first forms of individual expression for young girls. Now is the time to encourage and empower young girls to radiate qualities of grace, purity, poise and everything lovely according to God’s perfect design. The G.L.O.S.S. book contains simple quizzes, hands-on lessons that will uncover Truth from God’s Word through study and discussion. G.L.O.S.S. is a place where girls can be themselves, ask questions and meet new friends on the same journey.
We proudly offer the opportunity for others to share the G.L.O.S.S. message by becoming Facilitators and offering classes in their communities. Facilitators are given special access to Curriculum Kits and Add-On Items to enable them to successfully share the G.L.O.S.S. message in any type of group gathering. You can read more about becoming a Facilitator here and purchase Kits and Add-On Items at our GLOSS store.
The GLOSS Team
Wendy Tacey is wife & mom of two daughters and is the Author & Creator of the G.L.O.S.S. for Girls Curriculum as well as the Wendy is a graduate of the University of Washington Dance Program and spent 20 years in the dance business as Founder and Director of Washington School of Dance in Bothell. Wendy retired from the business in 2007 in an effort to focus more attention at home.
In the middle of parenting, Wendy’s heart was burdened for the grace, poise, body awareness and inner beauty that seemed to be disappearing amongst young girls outside the dance classroom. Wendy was motivated to dig deep into God’s Word on the subjects of True Beauty, Value and Worth that can only be satisfied through a changed identity with a heart surrendered to Jesus Christ. Wendy discovered that all the years of teaching teens provided the necessary insights into the hearts and needs of young girls that motivated the writing of G.L.O.S.S. Wendy desires that girls would discover early the messages of the G.L.O.S.S. Curriculum and know that they are Treasured and Loved by the One who created them!
